Whale & Dolphin Watching

The southern coast of Sri Lanka is known to be one of the best places in the world to see blue whales, with a close to 90% chance of sighting during the whale watching season which is from December - April.

The geographic setting of Sri Lanka offers the ideal conditions for larger marine life to flourish while feeding off the shore. It is said that the blue whales discovered off the coast of Mirissa are members of a resident pod. For the best chance of sightings, you will need to on board your catamaran and head out from Mirissa harbour by 6.30am. A lovely breakfast will be made for you on board while you cruise out to sea and keep an eye out for marine life. Following whale watching, you will anchor at sea and be able to plunge in the water if you'd like before heading back to shore after your midday snack onboard. Your catamaran is equipped with safety equipment as well as gear for snorkeling and paddle boarding.
