What better way to experience a new place than through its flavours and our little island is full of them!

This experience brings you to the home of a local family, where you learn how to make Biriyani, a typical dish made in Muslim households for celebrations and festivities. Descended from the Arab traders who landed in the old port of Galle, Muslims make up a significant portion of the population of Galle today, particularly in the Galle fort. This experience has been designed to give you a taste of the various cultures on our island while taking you on a culinary journey that is in keeping with the story of Galle and its history. You will share a meal as a family with your host and her family during this enjoyable hands-on experience.
